What cars are cheap for insurance

I'm looking at getting a car soon, but I don't have enough money left over to pay for car insurance. What cars can I get that will be cheap every month?

Is there anything else I can do that will make my insurance cheaper? I need to save money!

Typically, the cheapest cars for insurance are the ones that cost the less. Also, in most cases 4-door cars, minivans, and 4-cylinder engines are the cheapest.

What you should definitely stay away from: fast cars, SUVs (they have a high turnover rate), and brand new cars.
